Record imports despite weak rupees

Editor-in-Chief of the Counterpoint Research, Oriica Jain said that the start of the quarter was only in the right direction, but due to heavy sales during August and September, imports grew and it reached its peak at its all time high. He further said that many prominent smartphone brands had taken off their various new models before August this year and offered their festive season, thereby giving them an opportunity to prepare for the festive sale of all the online channels.

Jain further said that this record was in the period when the rupee record was lower at the lower level than the dollar. Even before this weakness was affecting the supply chain and strategy of the companies.

The sale of goods will not increase

Avoiding any stock after festive season can increase the pressure on companies, as they have to sell their products at higher prices due to price hike. According to Jain, this festive season for companies is not only necessary for connecting new customers, but also for the challenges presented by other companies coming out from outside.

OnePlus Top in Premium Class

During the quarter, in the category of expensive smartphones, many of the offers offered by Chinese company OnePlus ,OnePlus 6 has kept its import strong, which has enabled it to maintain top position in this category.
